Q & A Interview

Q Who Are You?
A I'm Nate, but I'm also known as NateTheGreat

Q Where Are You From?
A I'm from the Windy City (Chicago), but I'm from out West. It's not a ton of us popping right now, but I got that

Q The Name Of Your Current Project?

A "Life as we know it" but my latest project is titled "Flux"

Q Describe Your Genre'
A I would label myself as an HipHop artist, but I also like to create vibe music. Sometimes that might

sound more R&B and pop, but overall I conform to HipHop fundamentals. I'll forever include time for a quick 16

Q Who Are Your Musical Influences?
A Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Slick Rick, Tyler the Creator, J.Cole, Kid Cudi, Drake, Bob Marley, Bryson Tiller, Post Malone, UGK, Jay electronica

Q What Inspires You To Write Music?
A Life inspires me to write music. It's a way for me to constructively convey aspects of my life to people that don't get to hear or see what I go through on the daily. Additionally, I just want to be great. When its all said and done, I want there to be no room for speculation on my talent or effort put into my craft. I need to be mentioned amongst the best in my class and the legends before me

Q Where Do You See Yourself In 5 Years?
A Thats a scary question. In 5 years I see myself producing tracks, having my own home studio, and running my own label. I don't know how my personal life will look, but these are things I'm actively working towards now

Q When Do Your Creative Ideas Usually Come To You?
A Usually at night or when I'm alone, but majority of the time its random. I'll just jot them down for the moment so I won't forget and visit them later

Q What are some of your past projects & how did they benefit you?
A My past project "Flux" was my first official EP. What made the project so special is that it started off as just a concept, but then to watch it take form from designing the cover art to actually going to record it was an amazing experience. I was introduced into a world I had only dreamed about, I felt it cemented my confidence as an independent artist.

Q Which one of YOUR songs is YOUR favorite & why?
A "Uber Driver". Initially, I didn't think people would like it because I wasn't just rapping on the track; so I put a lot less pressure into recording it. I didn't have to focus so deeply on my metaphors and world play I was just saying how I felt in the back of that uber. Then I ended up shooting a video for it. (Fun fact: I actually wrote this song in an Uber and still have the audio)

Q Where Can Your Music Be Found?
A Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple, Tidal, Google play, Amazon, Youtube, Shazam,Youtube (Red)

Q What's Next???
A More shows, More music, More videos. More interviews. I plan on making my presence felt in the South
